This system works by emitting light in specific wavelength ranges, targeting absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, thus allowing us to treat lesions of various sizes and depths while causing minimal harm to the surrounding skin. After treatment, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body, leaving little or no trace of the lesion.

At Dr Sknn, IPL is employed to exploit the power of light energy, which is then taken up by the Port Wine Stain and warmed to a point where they constrict and/or seal off. In the weeks after, the injured vessels are naturally assimilated by the body, leaving hardly any sign of the primary lesion.
