By shooting light in particular wavelength ranges, we focus on absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, allowing us to treat Port Wine Stain of different sizes and depths, causing minimal damage to the surrounding skin. After treatment, the broken vessels are absorbed by the body leaving little or no trace of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, light energy is tapped with the help of IPL, the light being taken up by the Port Wine Stain which heats them so that they spasm and/or collapse and get sealed. In the weeks subsequent, the broken vessels are naturally taken in by the body, leaving not a single sign of the initial lesion.
