At Dr Sknn we employ the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL), which is also used by the NHS and private hospitals throughout the UK to treat Portwine Stain securely and effectively on skin types I-IV. The system emits light at particular wavelength ranges, targeting absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, enabling us to treat Portwine Stain of various sizes and at different depths, while causing minimal harm to the surrounding skin.
