At Dr Sknn we take advantage of the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL) employed by the NHS and private hospitals across the UK, to treat Red Chest safely and efficiently on skin types I-IV. We use light at a precise wavelength range to target the absorption peaks of haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, allowing us to treat Red Chest of varying sizes and depths with minimal damage to the surrounding skin. After treatment the affected vessels are absorbed by the body, leaving little or no trace of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, we utilise IPL to make the most of light energy, the luminosity being imbibed by the veins which become heated to the point that they contract and/or disintegrate, and shut. Over the following weeks, the impaired vessels are gradually assimilated by the body, so that virtually no remnant of the original lesion is noticeable.

At Dr Sknn, during the consultation a medical history and physical examination including photographs will take place. This is your chance to express any queries, concerns, expectations or results that you may have. Before the Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment, we will go over any post treatment advice and potential risks associated with it so that you can have a full understanding of them before signing the consent form.
