At Dr Sknn, we make use of the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL) that is employed by the NHS and private hospitals in the UK for treating Red Mole on skin types I-IV in a safe and effective manner. By emitting light in specific wavelength ranges, we are able to target the absorption peaks of haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, thus allowing us to treat lesions of varying sizes and depths with minimal damage to the nearby skin. Following the completion of the treatment, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body and, in many cases, no trace of the initial lesion is left.

At Dr Sknn, we use light energy from IPL (Intense Pulsed Light). The light is taken in by the Red Mole, raising their temperature to the point where they seize and/or collapse, successfully sealing them. In the coming weeks, the troubled vessels are taken in by the body, leaving virtually no trace of the original lesion.

At Dr Sknn, a comprehensive medical history will be taken and a physical examination conducted during the consultation, including taking photographs. This is the right time to talk about any worries, objectives, results or queries you have. Before the treatment, the risks and post-treatment guidance will be explained thoroughly to make sure that you are completely aware of them and a consent form is signed.
