At Dr Sknn, before Fractional CO2 Laser treatment a comprehensive consultation is conducted to look at your medical history and physical examination, including photographs, giving you the opportunity to ask any questions, state expectations, discuss any possible risks, and raise any worries you have. To guarantee you understand the process, a consent form will be signed and a small patch test conducted to determine its suitability. If your skin type is identified as III+, a topical serum might be used four weeks before the procedure to prepare the skin. The safety and suitability for the treatment is of utmost importance. Upon a successful patch test after 48 hours, the treatment can be executed. If certain medications are present in your medical history, the patch testing period may be extended up to two weeks and if your skin type is III+, a topical product might be needed for four weeks prior to the treatment.
