By emitting light in particular wavelength ranges, absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin are able to be targeted, enabling us to treat lesions at different sizes and depths with minimal damage to the surrounding skin. Following treatment, the affected vessels are absorbed by the body, leaving little or no sign of the original lesion.

At Dr Sknn we take advantage of light energy by means of IPL, this energy is absorbed by the Cherry Angioma and heated to a degree that causes them to spasm and/or shut off, thus forming a seal.
