If this is your first time having the area treated, a small patch test will be conducted to assess its suitability. If your skin type is identified as III+, a topical serum may have to be used for four weeks before the treatment. At Dr Sknn, safety and suitability for the Fractional CO2 Laser treatment are of paramount importance and a full consultation will be given to ensure this. Following a successful patch test after 48 hours, the procedure can be carried out. Nevertheless, if certain medications have been taken, the patch testing period may be extended for up to two weeks. A topical product might also have to be applied for four weeks before the treatment for skin type III+.
