At Dr Sknn we put to use the Lynton Lumina, a modern Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL) which is utilized by both the NHS and private hospitals across the UK, to successfully and safely treat Rosacea Skin Condition on skin types I-IV. Through releasing light in specified wavelength ranges we can target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, meaning we can treat Rosacea Skin Condition of different sizes and depths with minimal damage to the adjacent skin. After the treatment has been completed, the damaged vessels are taken in by the body, with hardly any trace of the initial lesion remaining.

At Dr Sknn, IPL is utilised to use the light energy - the light being taken in by the blood vessels causes them to heat up to the point of twitching and/or breaking down, before being sealed. Over the following weeks, the impaired vessels are naturally absorbed by the body, leaving little or no evidence of the original blemish.
