A consent form will be signed to ensure you understand the process fully. Should the area being treated be new, a small patch test will be conducted to determine its suitability. If your skin type is marked as III+, a topical serum may have to be used for four weeks in advance of the treatment so to prepare the skin. At Dr Sknn, safety and appropriateness for the procedure are of utmost importance, with a full consultation taking place to determine whether you are eligible for CO2 Ablative Fractional Laser Treatment. Upon a successful patch test after 48 hours, the treatment can be carried out. Though, if certain medications appear in your medical history, the patch testing period could be extended to two weeks. If your skin type is marked as III+, a topical product may be necessary for four weeks prior to the treatment.
