Doctor Led Scar Treatment Augmentation - Benefits

Why Choose Dr Sknn for Scar Treatment

At Dr Sknn, prior to CO2 Ablative Fractional Laser Treatment a comprehensive consultation will be held covering your medical history and physical examination including photographs. This will provide you with the opportunity to raise any queries, expectations, outcomes or concerns you may have. Before the procedure, all potential risks and post-treatment advice relating to CO2 Ablative Fractional Laser Treatment will be discussed in detail and a consent form will be signed to ensure you understand the process completely. When the area is being treated for the first time, a small patch test will be conducted to assess its suitability. In addition, if your skin type is recognised as III+, a topical serum may need to be applied for four weeks in advance of the procedure to ready the skin. At Dr Sknn, safety and suitability for the procedure are of the utmost importance and a full consultation will be conducted to determine if you are eligible for CO2 Ablative Fractional Laser Treatment. If the patch test is successful after 48 hours, the treatment can be carried out. Nevertheless, if certain medications are in your medical history, the patch testing period may be prolonged up to two weeks. If your skin type is III+, a topical product might have to be used for four weeks before the treatment.
