When treating the area for the first time, a patch test will be undertaken to check its suitability. In addition, if your skin type is identified as III+, a topical serum may need to be used for four weeks before the treatment to prepare the skin. At Dr Sknn, safety and suitability for the procedure are of the utmost importance and a full consultation will be conducted to determine if you are eligible for CO2 Ablative Fractional Laser Treatment. With a successful patch test after 48 hours, the treatment may be performed. However, if certain medications are present in your medical history, the patch testing period may need to be extended up to two weeks. For skin type III+, a topical product could be required for four weeks prior to the treatment.
