Before the treatment, any potential risks and post-treatment advice for CO2 Ablative Fractional Laser Treatment will be discussed and a consent form will be signed to confirm understanding. When the area is being treated for the first time, a patch test will be conducted to establish its suitability. For skin type III+, a topical serum may need to be used for four weeks in advance of the treatment to prepare the skin. At Dr Sknn, safety and suitability is of utmost importance and a full consultation will be conducted to decide if you are suitable for CO2 Ablative Fractional Laser Treatment. After a successful patch test following 48 hours, the treatment will be carried out. If a certain medication is present in your medical history, the patch testing period may be extended up to two weeks. For skin type III+, a topical product may be necessary for four weeks before the treatment.
