At Dr Skn, we conduct a thorough consultation before any Fractional CO2 Laser treatment. The consultation involves a medical history, physical examination, and photographs to evaluate the patient's skin condition. During the consultation, patients have an opportunity to discuss their concerns, expectations, and ask any questions they may have about the treatment. We also discuss the post-treatment advice and the potential risks associated with the treatment, ensuring that patients fully understand them and sign a consent form. If it is the patient's first time receiving treatment on a specific area, we conduct a small patch test to ensure suitability. For patients with skin type III+, a topical application of serum may be necessary for four weeks before treatment. Safety and eligibility for treatment are our top priorities at Dr Skn. As everyone's skin is unique, we perform a full consultation and patch test to determine the suitability of the treatment. Following a successful patch test, we can proceed with the treatment after 48 hours. However, if certain medications are detected during the medical history, the patch test may be extended up to two weeks. For skin type III+ patients, a topical application of product may be necessary four weeks before treatment.
