If a new area is being treated, a small patch test will be performed to confirm suitability. For patients with skin types of III+, a topical serum may be required for four weeks before treatment. Safety is paramount at Dr Skn and no treatment is given without a full consultation and successful patch test. In some cases, patch testing may need to be extended to two weeks if certain medications are being taken. For skin types of III+, a topical product may also be necessary for four weeks prior to treatment.
