The laser emits thermal energy and ablates the skin in a methodical even pattern with precise spacing between each emission, sparing the tissue in-between, resulting in a faster healing process.

At Dr Sknn, a consultation is carried out prior to Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, during which a comprehensive medical history is taken, and a physical examination including photographs is performed. You will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, results or questions you may have. The risks associated with the treatment and any post-treatment advice will also be discussed to ensure that you fully understand them, and a consent form will be signed. If it is a new area being treated, a small patch test will be performed to ensure suitability. For those with a skin type of III+, a topical application of serum or product may be required for 4 weeks prior to treatment. Safety and eligibility are of the highest priority at Dr Sknn, and therefore, a full consultation is essential before any treatment is performed. A patch test will also be carried out to ensure that you are suitable for treatment, and if successful, the treatment can be delivered 48 hours after the patch test. However, if certain medications were found during your medical history, the patch test may be extended to 2 weeks.
