At Dr Skn, a consultation will be conducted prior to Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, where a detailed medical history will be taken, and a physical examination along with photographs will be carried out. During this consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, or queries you may have, and the risks associated with the treatment will be explained to you, ensuring that you fully understand them. In addition, a consent form will be signed before the treatment. For new areas being treated, a small patch test will be conducted to check for suitability. In case your skin type is III or above, a topical serum application may be necessary for four weeks before the treatment. Safety and eligibility are the utmost priority, and a patch test will be performed before the treatment, as every individual's skin is different. If found suitable, the treatment can be carried out 48 hours after a successful patch test. However, if certain medications are found during the medical history review, the patch testing period may be extended to up to two weeks. Additionally, a topical product application for four weeks may be required before treatment if you have skin type III or above.
