When you visit Dr Skn for a consultation regarding Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, your medical history and physical examination, including photographs, will be taken to ensure your safety and suitability for the treatment. You will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, and questions you may have about the treatment, as well as receive post-treatment advice and discuss the risks associated with the treatment. In addition, a consent form will be signed and a small patch test may be performed to ensure the treatment is suitable for your skin type, particularly if it is a new area being treated. For those with a skin type of III+, a topical serum or product may be needed for 4 weeks prior to treatment. Dr Skn places the highest priority on safety and eligibility for treatment, which is why a full consultation and patch test are performed before delivering the treatment. If certain medications are found during your medical history, the patch test may be extended to 2 weeks.
