When you visit Dr Skn for a consultation regarding Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, the doctor will conduct a thorough medical history and physical examination, including photographs, to assess your suitability for the treatment. You will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, results or questions you may have during the consultation. Before the treatment, the doctor will discuss any post-treatment advice and the risks associated with the treatment to ensure you have a full understanding, and a consent form will be signed. Additionally, a small patch test may be performed on a new area to ensure suitability. At Dr Skn, safety and eligibility for treatment are of utmost importance, and a patch test will be conducted prior to treatment to determine suitability. After a successful patch test, treatment can be delivered after 48 hours, but note that if certain medications are found during your medical history, the patch testing period may be extended up to 2 weeks. For those with skin type of III+, a topical product may need to be applied for 4 weeks prior to treatment.
