At Dr Sknn we make use of the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL) which is employed by the NHS and private hospitals throughout the UK to treat Spider Angiomas on skin types I-IV safely and effectively. By emitting light in certain wavelength ranges, we target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, allowing us to treat Spider Angiomas of differing sizes and depths while causing minimal harm to the skin surrounding the lesion. Following treatment, the damaged vessels are taken up by the body and in most cases, little or no trace of the original lesion remains.

At Dr Sknn, through IPL, we employ light energy, which is subsequently absorbed by the Spider Angiomas and heated to the point of spasm or breakdown, thus sealing them. In the subsequent weeks, the damaged vessels will be taken back into the body, with no hint of the initial lesion remaining.
