At Dr Sknn we utilise the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL), which is also employed by the NHS and private hospitals in the UK, to treat Spider Naevi efficiently and securely on skin types I-IV. Through transmitting light in certain wavelength ranges, at Dr Sknn we are able to target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, making it feasible to treat Spider Naevi of varied sizes and depths while causing minimal harm to the surrounding skin. Upon treatment, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body and little to no signs of the initial lesion remain.

With the employment of IPL by Dr Sknn, light energy is utilised, with the light being taken in by the Spider Naevi, heating them to a point where they go into spasm and/or collapse, creating a seal.
