At Dr Sknn, the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL) is utilised, the same system employed by the NHS and private hospitals throughout the UK to safely and effectively treat Spider Naevi on skin types I-IV. Through emitting light in designated wavelength ranges, absorption peaks in both haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin can be targeted, allowing us to treat Spider Naevi of various sizes and depths while causing minimal damage to the surrounding skin. After this, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body, leaving little to no trace of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, IPL is utilised to gain light energy, the light is absorbed by the Spider Naevi, which heats them to a point where they go into spasm and/or collapse and are thus blocked off. In the subsequent weeks, the damaged vessels will be reabsorbed by the body, leaving almost no trace of the original lesion.
