At Dr Sknn, the state-of-the-art Lynton Lumina Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL) is employed, the same system used by the NHS and private hospitals up and down the country to deal with Spider Naevi in a secure and effective manner on skin types I-IV. By sending out light in certain wavelength ranges, absorption peaks in both haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin can be targeted, permitting us to treat Spider Naevi of varying sizes and depths without inducing much damage to the nearby skin. Following treatment, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body, with little to no trace of the initial lesion remaining.

At Dr Sknn, we make use of IPL to tap into light energy, causing the Spider Naevi to take in the light, heating them up until they spasm and/or collapse and are thus sealed off. Over the following weeks, the broken vessels are naturally reabsorbed by the body, leaving little to no indication of the original lesion.
