At Dr Sknn we use the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL) that is also adopted by the NHS and private hospitals across the UK, to treat Spider Naevus in a safe and effective way for skin types I-IV. By emitting light in a particular wavelength range, at Dr Sknn we go for absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, which allows us to treat Spider Naevus at various sizes and depths, while causing minimal damage to the surrounding skin. Subsequent to the treatment, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body and there is little to no indication of the original lesion.

At Dr Sknn, we employ IPL to utilise light energy. This light is ingested by the Spider Naevus, heating them to the degree of spasm and/or collapse, thus forming a seal. Over the subsequent weeks, the broken vessels will be taken in naturally by the body, leaving virtually no sign of the initial mark.
