After the treatment, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body and little or no trace of the original lesion remains.

At Dr Sknn, IPL is employed to capitalize on light energy; the light is assimilated by the blood vessel, heating it to a point where it spasms and/or vanishes, thereby blocking it.
