At Dr Sknn, we make use of the Lynton Lumina, a top-of-the-line Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL) utilised by the NHS and private hospitals up and down the UK, to treat Spider Naevus with safety and effectiveness on skin types I-IV. By emitting light in a certain wavelength range, we are able to aim at absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, allowing us to treat Spider Naevus of different sizes and depths whilst causing limited damage to the nearby skin. Following the treatment, the affected vessels are processed by the body and barely any trace of the initial lesion exists.

At Dr Sknn, we put IPL to use in order to harness light energy. This light is absorbed by the Spider Naevus, warming them to the point of spasm and/or collapse, thereby blocking them. In the weeks that follow, the impaired vessels will be assimilated normally by the body, leaving almost no indication of the initial lesion.
