At Dr Sknn, we use the Lynton Lumina, an advanced Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL) commonly employed by the NHS and private hospitals throughout the UK, to treat Spider Naevus in a secure and effective manner on skin types I-IV. By producing light in a particular wavelength range, we are able to target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, meaning we can treat Spider Naevus of different sizes and depths while causing minimal harm to the adjacent skin. Following the treatment, the damaged vessels are taken in by the body and the lesion fades away, with little to no trace remaining.

At Dr Sknn, we use IPL to take advantage of light energy. The light is taken in by the Spider Naevus, causing them to heat up to the point where they spasm or collapse and close off. In the weeks after, the damaged vessels are gradually broken down and eliminated by the body, leaving little sign of the initial lesion.

During the discussion there is an occasion to communicate any anxieties, ambitions, results, or questions you may have.
