At Dr Sknn, we utilise the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL), which is also employed by the NHS and private hospitals across the UK, for safely and effectively treating Spider Nevi on skin types I-IV. By emitting light at a specific wavelength range, we at Dr Sknn are able to target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, thereby enabling us to treat Spider Nevi of various sizes and depths, whilst causing only minimal damage to the nearby skin. After completion of the treatment, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body and there is hardly any trace of the original lesion.

At our practice, we use IPL to take advantage of light energy. This energy is absorbed by the Spider Nevi, heating them to the point where it causes spasm or collapse, effectively sealing them. Afterward, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body in the following weeks, so that very little trace of the original lesion is left.
