At Dr Sknn, we take advantage of the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL) also employed by the NHS and private hospitals all over the UK, to safely and effectively treat Spider Nevus on skin types I-IV. By generating light in certain wavelength ranges, at Dr Sknn we can target absorptions peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, enabling us to treat Spider Nevus of different sizes and depths without causing much harm to the neighbouring skin. Following the treatment, the damaged vessels are taken in by the body and little to no trace of the initial lesion is left.

Doctor Led Spider Nevus Astle - Benefits

At Dr Sknn we utilise IPL to benefit from light energy. The light is consumed by the Spider Nevus, heating them to a point where they constrict and close. In the following weeks, these impaired vessels are naturally absorbed by the body, with little or no indication of the primary lesion remaining.

Why Choose Dr Sknn for Spider Nevus

At Dr Sknn, a comprehensive medical history and physical examination will be carried out, including photos. This is your chance to bring up any queries, fears, results, or questions you may have. Before the Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment, all aftercare advice and risks related will be talked through so you thoroughly understand, and a consent form must be signed. Additionally, if it is an unknown area being treated, a small patch test will be performed to ensure it is suitable.

It is a consultation-led approach where your goals, medical history, suitability, treatment options, recovery and aftercare are reviewed before a plan is confirmed.

How much is a consultation?

Doctor consultations are free. A £50 reservation fee secures a doctor consultation. Nurse and practitioner consultations are currently free. The booking journey shows whether payment or card protection is required, with the applicable cancellation and rescheduling terms, before you confirm.

Can I book without knowing which treatment I need?

Are results guaranteed?

No. Results vary between individuals. Your clinician will explain realistic expectations, risks, downtime and maintenance before treatment.
