By emitting light in specific wavelength ranges at Dr Sknn we target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, permitting us to treat Spider Nevus of different sizes and depths while causing minimal damage to the surrounding skin. Subsequent to the treatment, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body and little or no trace of the initial lesion remains.

At Dr Sknn, we use IPL to channel light energy to its fullest potential. The light energy is accepted by the Spider Nevus, which are then heated up to a point where they contract and/or collapse, thus blocking them off. Over the forthcoming weeks, the broken vessels are naturally taken in by the body, leaving scant evidence of the initial sore.
