By releasing light at a certain waveband range, we are able to target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin at Dr Sknn, allowing us to treat Spider Vein of various sizes and depths while causing minimal damage to the local skin. After the treatment, the damaged vessels are taken in by the body and there is scarcely any evidence of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, IPL is deployed to make use of light energy, the light being taken up by the blood vessels which heat them to a degree that makes them spasm and/or collapse and seal. In the following weeks, the ruined vessels are reabsorbed naturally by the body, leaving virtually no evidence of the original lesion.
