By sending out light in particular wavelength ranges, the absorption peaks of haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin can be targeted, thus enabling us to treat Spider Veins of diverse sizes and depths while inflicting minimal damage on the surrounding skin. Following the procedure, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body, leaving little or no indication of the original lesion.

By using IPL at Dr Sknn, light energy is drawn in by the blood vessels, heating them to the point of spasm and/or collapse, thus forming a seal. In the weeks following, the damaged vessels will be naturally taken up by the body, leaving hardly any sign of the original lesion.
