At Dr Sknn we employ the Lynton Lumina, a sophisticated Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL) which is used in NHS and private hospitals across the UK, to safely and effectively treat Spider Veins on skin types I-IV. By releasing light in a particular wavelength range we can target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, enabling us to treat Spider Veins at different sizes and at different depths while causing minimal harm to the adjacent skin. Once treatment is complete, the damaged vessels are taken in by the body leaving little to no trace of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, we employ light energy via IPL. The light is drawn in by the blood vessels, warming them to a degree that they contract and/or break apart, thus closing them. Over the upcoming weeks, the impaired vessels are naturally absorbed by the body, so that hardly any evidence of the original lesion is visible.
