If your skin type is III+, a topical serum may have to be used for four weeks before the treatment to prepare the skin. When the area is being treated for the first time, a small patch test will be undertaken to determine its suitability. In the event that certain medications are present in your medical history, the patch testing period may be lengthened to two weeks.
