If the area is being treated for the first time, a patch test will be done to assess its suitability. Similarly, if your skin type is III+, a topical serum may need to be applied for four weeks prior to the procedure. At Dr Sknn, safety and suitability for the procedure are always a priority and a full consultation will be conducted to ensure you are suitable for Fractional CO2 Laser treatment. If the patch test is successful after 48 hours, the treatment can be carried out. However, if certain medications are present in your medical history, the patch testing period may be extended up to two weeks. If your skin type is III+, a topical product may be needed for four weeks prior to treatment.
