To check suitability, a patch test will be carried out, but if your skin type is III+ then a topical serum may have to be used for four weeks prior to the treatment. As long as the patch test is successful after 48 hours, the treatment can begin, but if certain medications are present in your medical history, then the patch testing period may be extended to two weeks.
