At Dr Sknn, prior to Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, a comprehensive consultation will be conducted encompassing your medical history and a physical examination which will include photographs. This gives you the opportunity to raise any queries, objectives, results or apprehensions you may possess. Prior to the treatment, any potential risks and post-treatment advice regarding Fractional CO2 Laser treatment will be discussed in full and a consent form will be signed to make sure you completely understand the process. When the area is being treated for the first time, a small patch test will be undertaken to evaluate its appropriateness. Additionally, if your skin type is identified as III+, a topical serum may need to be applied for four weeks ahead of the procedure to prepare the skin. At Dr Sknn, safety and compatibility for the procedure are of utmost importance and a complete consultation will be conducted to determine if you are eligible for Fractional CO2 Laser treatment. Upon a successful patch test after 48 hours, the treatment can be carried out. Nonetheless, if certain medications are present in your medical history, the patch testing period may be extended up to two weeks. If your skin type is III+, a topical product may be required for four weeks prior to the treatment.
