At Dr Sknn we make use of the Lynton Lumina, a first-rate Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL), deployed by the NHS and private hospitals across the UK to treat Telangectasia safely and effectively on skin types I-IV. This light system emits a designated wavelength, targeting the absorption of haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, allowing us to treat Telangectasia of different sizes and depths without inflicting harm to the neighbouring skin. After the treatment, the impaired vessels are taken in by the body, leaving almost no trace of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, through the usage of IPL, light energy is put to use, the light being absorbed by the blood vessels that are heated to the extent of them going into spasm and/or collapse, subsequently being sealed. Over the course of a few weeks, the damaged vessels are naturally absorbed by the body, thus leaving little to no evidence of the original lesion.

At Dr Sknn, during the appointment, a medical history and physical examination will take place, along with photographic records. During this time, there will be the opportunity to discuss any queries, outlooks, end results, or concerns you may have. Before beginning the Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) procedure, any after care advice and hazards related to the treatment will be discussed in detail, ensuring full understanding and a consent form will need to be signed.
