At Dr Sknn, the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL) is in use - the same system utilised by the NHS and private hospitals across the UK, to treat Telangiectasia securely and effectively on skin types I-IV. By emitting light in specified wavelength ranges at Dr Sknn, we can focus on absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, enabling us to administer treatment to varying sizes and depths of Telangiectasia while causing minimal harm to the adjacent skin. Following treatment, the damaged vessels are assimilated by the body, leaving hardly any trace of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, by applying IPL, we draw on light energy. This light is taken in by the blood vessels, heating them to the point where they go into spasm and/or shut down, thus forming a seal.
