At Dr Sknn we have the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL) which is employed by numerous NHS and private hospitals across the UK to treat Telangiectasias with safety and efficiency on skin types I-IV. By delivering light in specific wavelength ranges, we are able to target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, allowing us to treat Telangiectasias of varying sizes and depths, whilst causing minimal damage to the skin in the vicinity. Upon completion of the treatment, the damaged vessels are assimilated by the body and often times no trace of the lesion is left.

At Dr Sknn, we use IPL to capitalise on the energy of light, with the heat it produces affecting the blood vessels, leading to spasm and/or collapse, which in turn seals them. In the weeks that follow, the weakened vessels will be reabsorbed by the body, leaving hardly any evidence of their previous existence.
