At Dr Sknn, we utilise the Lynton Lumina, a cutting-edge Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) system also employed by NHS and private hospitals all over the UK, to safely and effectively treat Thread Vein on skin types I-IV. Our IPL system emits light in particular wavelength ranges which target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, allowing us to treat Thread Vein of different sizes and depths while causing minimal damage to the surrounding skin. After treatment, the damaged vessels shall be absorbed by the body, leaving behind little or no trace of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn we use Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to utilise light energy. The light is taken in by the blood vessels, heating them up to a point that they go into spasm and/or collapse and seals. Over the coming weeks the damaged vessels are naturally broken down by the body, so that there is little or no trace of the original lesion.

At Dr Sknn, during the session a medical report including an examination and pics will take place. The appointment will be an opportunity to express any misgivings, expectations, outcomes or questions you might have. Ahead of the treatment, any post-therapy advice and risks linked to the treatment will be talked through to make sure you are getting the message and a permission form will be signed.
