It is the go-to system for NHS and private hospitals in the UK, as it is safe and effective in treating Thread Vein in skin types I-IV. By sending out light in specific wavelength ranges, we are able to target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, thus allowing us to successfully address lesions of different sizes and depths with minimal damage to the surrounding tissue. Once the treatment is completed, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body and no trace of the lesion will remain.

At Dr Sknn, IPL is employed to make use of light energy. This light is soaked up by the blood vessels, causing them to shrink and/or collapse. Then, in the weeks following, the damaged vessels are naturally dispelled by the body, leaving no obvious signs of the initial lesion.
